Unlike most RFID solutions, we created the hardware and the software.

When you design the whole RFID system, all the parts
work together as one amazing product!

Location and Tracking System.

The V-Tag™ is an ad-hoc networked tag (self generating mesh network) for RFID that requires very little infrastructure. V-Tag™ active RFID tags offer a new way for tracking, monitoring and collecting data on your organization’s valuable assets or personnel. The tag-to-tag networking creates an ad hoc wireless network that is robust, reliable and reduces the amount of infrastructure needed for deployment; the hop distance between V-Tag’s™ can be up to 300 feet. The business impact of this breakthrough technology is to manage assets more cost effectively thereby providing bottom line savings to companies and government agencies.

Each V-Tag™ connects to other V-Tags™ to form a dynamic network of tags that are able to pass messages, such as location and sensor data, amongst each other. This technology allows for complete asset monitoring with very little infrastructure requirements.

V-Tag™ operates as a Location Tracking System (LTS). Fixed Position V-Tags are associated to a location. Each Asset V-Tag™ dynamically calculates which Fixed V-Tag™ it is closest to in order to determine its location. When an Asset V-Tag™ is moved, its position is automatically updated and passed down the line until it reaches a system which is running to monitor network activity.

V-Tag™ also provides its own API (Application Programming Interface) for interfacing with the network. AssetWorx! utilizes this API to provide complete support for V-Tag™. The V-Tag™ Command Center, which is a module of AssetWorx!, allows you to run every V-Tag™ command possible. In addition, the V-Tag™ Command Center also provides a map screen which will show the location of every V-Tag™ asset within the enterprise.

InfinID Technologies, Inc. began working with the U.S. Army Medical Research and Material Command and the Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC) to explore solutions for emergency needs in a war zone or natural disaster. The military deploys very high value assets worldwide including sophisticated electronic devices, medical supplies, small arms, tanks, aircraft, ships, etc., and a huge array of spare parts for war fighting machines. InfinID Technologies V-Tag™ can be used to ensure that high value perishables, (e.g., Blood, Biopharmaceuticals, Vaccines, Tissue, and Bio-hazards), are stored and transported under appropriate environmental conditions prior to use or field deployment, which in turn can help protect our war time fighters.

V-Tag™ is a Location Tracking System (LTS) RFID active tag with sensor capabilities that adds the ability for the tags to “talk” to each other rather than communicating through fixed RFID readers and antennas. No more costly requirements to install ethernet cabling, power, mounting brackets and active RFID transponder antennas in multiple locations. Using fixed V-Tags with known locations, you can create fixed locations within your facility, then use mobile V-Tags attached to your high value assets to track their location. V-Tag works seamlessly with AssetWorx!. AssetWorx! is an RFID asset tracking software solution, that can dynamically display the location of your V-Tags onto a map of your facility.

V-Tag also provides a software development kit (SDK), allowing for customized integration projects.

  • Track down your assets by viewing a map overlay of your job site or office.

  • You can also use V-Tag™ Tracking device that uses a Geiger counter function to hunt assets within inches or in a open fields.

  • Trying to locate a tool?

  • Laboratory Equipment missing?

  • Medical equipment location?

  • See V-Tag positions overlaid on your own customizable maps.

  • Associate tags with assets

  • Set thresholds for temperature, shock and battery level.

  • Receive and view tag user defined alarms for threshold exceeded events.

  • Receive and view current and historical sensor reports.

  • Generate graphs of sensor reports.

  • Set alerting rules for tag movement.

  • Monitor gateway and tag status.
