Active RFID Tracking Solution

RFID Warehouse

RFID Software and RFID Hardware Solution

The implementation of RFID technology has improved operational efficiency and productivity in distribution centers and warehouses around the world. AssetWorx! RFID technology typically complements data capture technology (like barcodes) already used in warehouse and distribution centers.

Companies find that there are many benefits to using AssetWorx! RFID solutions in their warehouse. Some of these benefits include:

  • Total asset visibility

  • Full inventory history

  • Reduced inventory-stocking levels

  • Facilitating just-in-time deliveries

  • Full process control for products in the facility

  • Reduced lead-time and cross-docking time

  • Improved sort/pick rate

  • Reduced storage and shelf space

  • Improved security

  • Reduced errors

  • Reduced cost of operations

  • Reduce labor costs

  • Decrease primary warehouse worker functions including everything from inventory to pick/pack/ship to put away.

  • Increase inventory accuracy: Improve receiving efficiency and accuracy as well as picking and ordering accuracy.

  • Reduce inventory stock levels: Improve stock and demand generation visibility.

  • Reduce unsaleable and out-of-stock items: Leaner and lower levels of inventory mean faster inventory turns and less stagnant stock.

  • Improve customer satisfaction: Ensure the right goods reach the right customer at the right time.

In receiving, items, cases and/or pallets traditionally used barcodes, which workers had to scan one by one. With AssetWorx! RFID Solution, those items can be read all at once by a portal reader placed at the dock door as they are unloaded from the truck.

Unloading an inbound container, for instance, which may take about two and a half hours to individually scan, sort, and count cartons, may now take less than half an hour AssetWorx! RFID Solution.

Tagging products at the source of manufacture is tasked with providing more accurate inbound and outbound information in those distribution centers as well as more efficient receiving and shipping processes at external sites.

Using AssetWorx! RFID passive or active RFID solution requires you to affixed RFID tags to assets like products, containers, equipment, and people, organizations can monitor, in real-time, location and status. V-Tag active mesh network tags have been developed to meet the needs of certain types of asset management, and this system has been successfully implemented many times in closed loops systems of returnable assets.

With the advent of V-Tag and Passive, asset management information becomes even more granular.

From Logistics Management, Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announced that it was funding projects to establish real-time location systems (RTLS) within their hospitals and outpatient . InfinID Technologies, Inc. was one of the software of choice for this project.  This deployment involves attaching millions of RFID tags to medical equipment, surgical instruments and supplies, further driving RFID adoption in the healthcare industry to unprecedented levels.

AssetWorx! in the passive sector can be used  to address government compliance mandates like “farm to fork”. The tags can store the necessary tracking information, from manufacture date, shelf life, expiration dates, lots, batch, serial numbers, etc.

Using readers and portals throughout the supply chain, the data can be updated wirelessly and this electronic record made available in case of a recall or counterfeit issue.
